EMF MONITORED POWER PLANT ADDED

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC's Crystal Lake Wind in MISO is a 416 MW wind farm in Britt, IA.

Crystal Lake Wind is valuable for several reasons and will help to better understand the following: 1) The Lime Creek-Emery and Lime Creek-Worthington constraints; 2) How certain thermal units respond to congestion driven by high wind. While we suspect that Walter Scott and Ottumwa (to name a couple) are sensitive to wind, adding Crystal Lake can help confirm it. 3) Flows between NPPD and MEC, to a certain extent, as we see periods of low MISO wind drive certain risks in SPP and vice versa.

NRG Energy Inc's California Valley Solar Ranch in WECC is a 250 MW solar farm in California Valley, CA.
MidAmerican Energy Co.'s Topaz Solar in WECC is a 588 MW solar farm in Santa Margarita, CA.
Direct Energy's Paris Energy Center in ERCOT is a 275 MW gas-fired plant in Paris, TX.

The addition of Topaz Solar and California Valley Solar Ranch more than double the capacity of monitored solar plants in Genscape's growing California network bringing the total monitored capacity to roughly 1,500 MW. Adding these plants also means Genscape now monitors the largest and fourth largest photovoltaic solar plants in California.
